Forged Ahead
Forged Ahead is a two-year-old still finding its feet on the racecourse. The horse made its debut just a day ago and finished seventh, which is exactly the kind of early outing that tells you very little about what lies ahead. Young horses often need time to settle into racing, learn what it's all about, and understand how to run with other animals at speed. One race is nowhere near enough to judge anything.Based on TrackLab's analysis

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
The trainer, K. R. Burke, runs a yard at Coverham in North Yorkshire that has been in excellent form this season, sending out 145 winners so far. That kind of record suggests the team knows how to get horses ready to race and make the most of their abilities. For a two-year-old early in its career, that backing and experience matters.
