The recent form tells a story of inconsistency. Over the last six races, Forever My Girl has finished 9th, 16th, 12th, 14th, 17th, and most recently 10th. Those are spread-out results with no real pattern — some runs are respectable, others much less so. At eight years old, this horse has had plenty of time to break through, yet hasn't managed a top-3 finish across all nine attempts. For a horse still racing regularly, that's a sobering tally. Price's yard has sent out six winners this season, which shows the trainer knows how to produce results elsewhere, making Forever My Girl's blank record all the more striking. At this point, the horse appears to be one of those honest racers that simply lacks the speed or class to trouble the front-runners, but keeps getting opportunities because the effort is there.
