Based at one of Ireland's busier yards, Footstepstoglory is among 13 winners Kelly has sent out this season, so there is clearly competence in the stable. His win this week at Killarney — the same track where he got off the mark originally — suggests he may have found a course that suits him, though one victory at a venue hardly makes it a home ground. At five years old with just ten races, he has not had an enormous amount of opportunities to prove himself, and the recent uptick in form — two runs back in the placings in his last six outings — is reason enough to keep watching. Whether he can turn that improvement into more wins remains to be seen, but after so long waiting for a second success, another victory would at least suggest the first one was not a fluke.
