The name that keeps coming up in Fleetfootsoldier's story is Dundalk. That is where the first career win came, back in March 2023, and it is where the most recent win landed too, in November 2025. When a horse keeps going back to the same track and keeps delivering, that is worth paying attention to — some horses simply take to a particular venue, and Dundalk appears to be this one's happy hunting ground.

The honest part of the picture, though, is that Fleetfootsoldier has not won in six races, and the recent form figures — 14-13-9-8-9-2 — tell a story of a horse that was running well enough for a spell, finishing second on one occasion, but has since drifted back towards the middle of the pack. Finishing 13th and 14th in back-to-back races is the kind of form that raises questions. The horse raced just yesterday and is clearly still being campaigned, so trainer R P Burns, who operates out of Collinstown in County Westmeath and has sent out 5 winners already this season, has not given up on finding another opportunity. Whether Fleetfootsoldier can rediscover the spark that brought those earlier wins — ideally back at Dundalk — is the question worth watching.
