Fizzy Bear

Trained by George Baker at Epsom Downs, Fizzy Bear is part of a yard that has had a productive season, sending out 14 winners. Baker clearly knows how to train a winner, which leaves the question of whether Fizzy Bear simply lacks the pace or temperament to break through, or whether it might still find its level as it matures. At three years old, there is time for improvement, but five races without a win or even a placed finish is a concerning start. The recent pattern of two fifth-place finishes suggests the horse is at least competitive at some level, though the earlier 13th and 17th place runs indicate consistency is not yet there. Whether Fizzy Bear will develop into a reliable racehorse or remain an also-ran remains to be seen.
