At that grade, Fiveonefive wins 3 from 7, which is a 43% win rate. To put that in perspective, even the very best horses in training rarely win nearly half their races at any level. The horse clearly saves something for the big occasions.

The overall career picture is that of a solid, reliable performer rather than an elite one. Five wins and 11 places from 34 races, a win rate of roughly 1 in every 7, and a first career victory at Tipperary in May 2023 before the Cartmel habit took hold. It doesn't win everywhere — the recent form shows a 13th and a 5th and a 6th mixed in — but on slightly wet or soft ground, the record sharpens noticeably: 2 wins from 7 races, nearly 1 in 3. That's not a coincidence either. Cartmel's turf, surrounded by Cumbrian hills, tends to hold moisture.

Trainer Cian Collins has had a productive season — 20 winners sent out from the yard this term — and regular jockey Jordan Gainford has partnered Fiveonefive in 12 of its 34 races, winning twice together. The horse had a short break after its most recent run 35 days ago and hasn't raced since that Cartmel victory last June. The question is whether Collins and the team point it back to the same spot for a fourth straight summer. Given what happens every time they do, it's hard to imagine why they wouldn't.
