At six years old there is still time to break the duck, but the pressure is quietly building to show something more than a handful of mid-pack finishes and one placed effort.

Fine Fellow is trained by Alastair Ralph, who operates out of Bridgnorth in Shropshire. Ralph's yard has sent out 25 winners already this season, which shows this is a stable that knows how to get horses across the line. That makes Fine Fellow something of an outlier in the string — a horse that has so far refused to reflect the form of the yard around it. Whether Ralph can unlock whatever is holding this horse back remains the key question.
