Feisty Minx

Trained by Amanda Perrett at her yard in Pulborough, West Sussex, the three-year-old is at least in active hands. Perrett's team has sent out five winners already this season, which suggests there is form in the yard and that horses are arriving at the track in reasonable condition. Whether Feisty Minx can tap into that is the question. A third place shows she can get competitive when things go right, but the broader pattern — finishing eighth, sixth, seventh, and tenth in other races — suggests consistency has been hard to find.

At this stage, she is a horse that racing fans would describe as a work in progress. For a three-year-old still learning the job, that is not necessarily a death sentence, but she will need to put a cleaner run together soon if she is going to reward the patience of those running her.
