His two wins came at Irish tracks in the summer and autumn of 2025 — first at Killarney in August, then at Listowel in September — which suggests he hit a real purple patch last year. Listowel, in particular, is one of those atmospheric country tracks in County Kerry that suits certain horses down to the ground, and Fast Felix found something there. But that win was 10 months ago now, and he hasn't visited the winner's enclosure since. His last six runs read 4-7-4-9-a-non-finish-5, a sequence that shows him hovering around mid-field without ever threatening to break through.

The partnership with jockey G B Noonan is one worth noting — though not for the right reasons. Nine races together and no wins yet. That's not necessarily a damning indictment of either horse or rider, but it does suggest the combination hasn't yet found that extra gear together. Sometimes a change of jockey can unlock a horse; it's worth watching whether trainer Eoin Christopher McCarthy tries something different.

McCarthy trains out of Athea in County Limerick and has had 15 winners this season, which shows the yard knows how to get horses to the track in form. Fast Felix clearly benefits from that operation — he raced just yesterday, which means he's fit, active, and being kept busy. The question is whether McCarthy can find the right opportunity to bring out another win. At eight, Fast Felix isn't getting younger, and with two wins already banked, the hope for the yard will be that there's at least one more good day left in him.
