The partnership with jockey Conor McNamara — who shares a surname with the trainer, E. McNamara, at the Rathkeale yard — has been central to those better days. McNamara has ridden Falco Blitz in 12 of its 25 races and won on 2 of them, a win rate of 17%, or almost 1 in every 6 rides together. After the Limerick win, McNamara noted he had been patient from the back of the field, found a gap at the right moment and was able to save something for the finish — a description that fits a horse you ride with trust built over time. An earlier assessment from the yard had flagged a preference for left-handed tracks, which is an interesting detail given Limerick fits that profile exactly.

Where Falco Blitz has struggled is at the top level. In 4 races at Class 2 — among the best races in Britain — it has yet to win, recording a 0% win rate in that grade. The recent form tells a similar story: in the last 6 races it has not won once, finishing fifth, third, fourth, fifth, and tenth, with one non-completion in between. The yard has sent out 22 winners this season, so it is an active and functioning operation — but Falco Blitz, at 12, is clearly in the latter chapter of its racing life, doing enough to keep appearing without threatening to rewrite its own story.
