The recent form makes for difficult reading. The last six results, working backwards from the most recent, read 11th, a run marked as unfinished, another unfinished, 10th, 7th, and 6th — a sequence that suggests Ersudaly has been struggling to land a blow and, on a couple of occasions, hasn't even been able to complete the race. The horse did race just yesterday, so the yard are clearly keeping it busy, but momentum is hard to find when the trend is pointed in the wrong direction.
Ersudaly is trained by Colin Bowe out of Enniscorthy in County Wexford. Bowe's yard has sent out two winners this season, so there is form in the camp — the question is whether Ersudaly can become the third. At six years old, the window for improvement is narrowing, and with no win yet on the board, the horse needs something to click fairly soon if it is going to justify its place in training. For now, patience is about the only thing Ersudaly has in abundance.
