Donald McCain, one of the most respected names in the north of England, trains her out of his yard at Cholmondeley in Cheshire — an operation that has sent out 55 winners already this season, which tells you something about the quality of the setup. McCain has described her as tough and feisty, not especially big, but a genuine jumper who takes to her fences with real enthusiasm. That kind of attitude matters. Size can only get a horse so far; a willingness to fight is what tends to separate the winners from the also-rans over a long season.

She got off the mark at Southwell in May 2025 and then added a second win at Plumpton in April 2026 — two very different tracks, which suggests she is not a horse who needs everything to go perfectly in order to perform. She has a half-sibling in Doddiethegreat, and there is clearly a family tendency to be selective about conditions; McCain has been clear that fast, dry ground is not what she wants.

Her recent form reads 4, blank, 1, 2, 4, 9 — that victory and a runner-up finish sitting in the middle of the sequence tell you there is a live, competitive horse in here. The ninth-place run at the far end of that sequence looks like the outlier. She raced just one day ago and is very much in the thick of an active campaign. With the right ground underfoot and McCain placing her carefully, she looks like a horse with more wins ahead of her.
