The recent form reads 6th, 11th, 3rd working back from the start, which tells a small story of its own: the placed run came first, and things have been harder since. That said, a two-year-old is still very much a work in progress. Horses at this age are learning what racing even is, and it would be wrong to write off a youngster after just three runs.
Pears has sent out 9 winners from his yard this season, which shows the stable is in decent enough form to get a horse ready to win when the time is right. Enemy Action raced just yesterday, so clearly the yard believe there is more to come. Whether this horse turns a corner soon or needs more time and experience, the next few races will tell us a great deal.
