His recent form shows real promise. He won at Perth three weeks ago, his second victory in his last six outings, and came back to the track just yesterday. Trainer Iain Jardine, whose Carrutherstown yard has already sent out 57 winners this season, sees a horse with genuine potential for improvement. The plan appears to be keeping him on the Flat for now, but Jardine has suggested that hurdling could be in Elemental Eye's future — and specifically flagged Musselburgh as the sort of track where he would thrive. That makes sense. Musselburgh suits long-striding horses that need space and a trip, exactly what this horse wants. For now, though, he remains active and regularly raced, with Andrew Mullen his most frequent partner, though the pair have only managed to land one win from 11 races together.
