Earthsong

The most recent form tells a familiar story. In its last six races, Earthsong has finished 14th, 8th, 1st, 5th, 4th, and 9th — a scatter of results that suggests inconsistency rather than steady improvement. There are glimpses of promise buried in there — a pair of mid-field finishes and that one win — but nothing to suggest the horse is building toward a breakthrough. Still, Earthsong raced as recently as yesterday, so the horse remains actively campaigned by trainer W. McCreery, whose Rathbride yard in Co Kildare has sent out 19 winners this season. Whether Earthsong will become the next to visit the winner's enclosure depends largely on finding the right race and the right conditions, but so far that combination has proved elusive.
