That one win came at Bellewstown on 12 April 2025, and it remains the single career highlight. Bellewstown is a tight, undulating track on the east coast of Ireland, and winning there can suit horses with particular course-craft rather than outright speed — so it is worth noting that Dunany Point has at least shown it can get its head in front when conditions suit. Whether it can do so again is the question the team at Stamullen will be trying to answer.

Conor David Maxwell trains out of Co. Meath and has had six winners on the board this season, which shows the yard is in reasonable form. Kieren Buckley is the jockey most associated with Dunany Point, having partnered the horse in 11 of its 20 races for that solitary win — a ratio of 1 from 11, or roughly 9%, which mirrors the overall career picture. It is a working partnership rather than a spectacular one, but the continuity at least means Buckley knows the horse well.

The recent form is the part that will concern anyone following Dunany Point closely. The last six runs read as two blanks either side of finishes of tenth, ninth, eighth, and eighth — consistently mid-pack, with no sign of a return to winning form since that Bellewstown success over 14 months ago. Horses can rediscover their best, and at seven there is no reason to write one off entirely, but Dunany Point will need to show something sharper in the coming weeks to suggest that April win was the beginning of something rather than the exception to a quieter rule.
