Drumconnor Hill

The recent form shows a horse that is competitive without quite getting over the line. In its last six outings, Drumconnor Hill has posted a fourth-place finish, which is its best result to date, alongside a seventh and eighth among other efforts further back in the field. That fourth suggests the horse has the ability to mix with the field and run a respectable race, but closing the gap from there to the podium has proved beyond it so far. The training yard is clearly doing something right — Cian Collins has sent out 20 winners this season — so there is competence in the corner, at least.

At this stage, Drumconnor Hill is still looking for that elusive first win. Whether it will come is the question now; some horses break through eventually, and others plateau. For now, this is a horse that races regularly and tries hard without quite delivering the result.
