Dreaminthejungle

What gives a little cause for optimism is that the most recent run, a fifth-place finish, represents the best effort of the three. It is a small step forward, but in racing, small steps are sometimes how things begin. The horse raced just yesterday, so it is clearly a live part of current plans rather than a project being quietly shelved.

Dreaminthejungle is trained by Ms Claire O'Connell, based at Ashbourne in County Meath. The yard has sent out four winners already this season, which tells you this is a trainer capable of getting horses to perform when the time is right. Whether Dreaminthejungle can become a fifth winner for the team remains to be seen, but the fact it is racing regularly and recently suggests O'Connell has not given up on finding the right opportunity.
