The numbers tell a bleak story: just 1 win from 22 races amounts to barely 1 success every 22 attempts. Recent form has been particularly discouraging, with Draiocht failing to win in its last six outings and managing only one third-place finish in that stretch. The horse runs best at around one mile, one furlong to one mile, two furlongs — distances where it has won 1 of 11 races — yet even at its preferred trip, progress remains painfully slow.

Killian Leonard has been Draiocht's most frequent rider, and tellingly, their best partnership came early: Leonard has ridden the horse five times and registered one win, a 20 percent win rate that actually outperforms the horse's overall record. Trainer T J O'Mara is working with minimal ammunition this season — the yard has produced just two winners — which suggests Draiocht is operating in unglamorous company at small tracks, chasing modest prize money and low-grade races. At six years old, the horse is entering an age where improvement becomes increasingly unlikely. Still racing actively, Draiocht remains on the go, but the gap between its single win and the present day grows longer with each outing.
