Divine Whisper

The win came at Windsor on 27 June, and it remains Divine Whisper's sole success to date. Since then, the horse has been placed twice more but has also finished well out of contention, which is the uneven pattern you see in young horses still learning what racing demands. The most recent outing came just a day ago, and Divine Whisper finished third — a solid return to form after a tougher run. Trainer George Boughey, who runs one of the biggest yards in Newmarket with 99 winners already this season, has the expertise to keep developing this young horse carefully, and the fact that Divine Whisper has now run four times suggests the yard are confident enough to keep racing it despite the mixed results. At two years old, there is plenty of racing left to come, and a horse that can win races and place regularly already hints at something useful in the making.
