His most recent victory came four weeks ago at Lingfield Park on August 1st, 2026, and he remains actively racing—he was out just a day ago. Over his last six runs he has won twice, placed twice, and finished outside the money twice, which suggests a horse in form and capable of mixing it at his grade.

When he steps up to Class 4 races, however—the kind of competition that sits higher in the pecking order—his record drops to just 1 win from 4 attempts. This tells you something important: Distinct Spirit is a horse who excels in his comfort zone at his preferred distance and level, but finds life tougher when asked to prove himself against stronger opposition or beyond his ideal trip. For a six-year-old still grinding away in mid-tier company, that is a perfectly respectable calling. He is a horse who knows what he is and plays to his strengths.
