The first win came at Downpatrick in September 2024, and the second, more recently, at Navan in October 2025. That Navan victory is now five months in the rear-view mirror, and the last six races have produced a placed effort and a handful of mid-pack finishes rather than another trip to the winner's enclosure. The recent form reads 4-–-5-2-5-4, which tells you the spark is still there — that second place is a reminder this horse can get involved — but the wins aren't coming with any regularity right now.

What does give this profile a sharper edge is who is doing the training. Emmet Mullins, based at Bagenalstown in Co. Carlow, has sent out 31 winners already this season, which marks him out as one of the more productive yards currently operating. When a trainer is firing at that kind of volume, horses in the yard tend to be placed with care and raced with purpose. Dippedinmoonlight raced just one day ago, so it is very much in the thick of an active campaign, and with a trainer in that kind of form, the hope from the yard will be that another winning opportunity is not far away.

At six years old, this horse is entering the years when experience starts to count for something. It knows its job, it has found the winner's circle before at two different tracks, and it sits in the hands of a team clearly capable of getting horses to win races. The wait for win number three may be ongoing, but there is nothing here to suggest the story is done.
