More tellingly, he has placed second or third in 14 of his 46 races, which points to a horse that runs well enough to feature in the frame regularly but lacks the sharpness to win often. The real insight lies in his preferred ground and distance. Over 7 furlongs to a mile, Dinamine transforms into a different proposition entirely—winning 2 of his 11 races at that range, or roughly one in every five attempts. That is a significant uptick compared to his overall record, and suggests Michael Mulvany's yard at Kells has worked out the formula.

Dinamine's last success came at Naas on 22 July 2026, just four weeks ago. That victory suggests the horse still has appetite for racing and competitive spirit intact at his age. Siobhan Rutledge, his most frequent partner, has yet to taste victory aboard him—zero wins from eight rides together—which hints that the best results may come with other jockeys, or that this particular combination simply hasn't clicked. For a horse with his durability and modest but genuine edge at his preferred distances, consistency through the rest of the season may be all Mulvany's yard is chasing.
