Desert Sands
Desert Sands is a two-year-old still finding its feet on the track. In five races so far, the horse has yet to break through for a win, though it did finish second in one outing — its only top-three finish to date. The most recent runs tell a story of inconsistency: a sixteenth-place effort, followed by twelfth, ninth, third, and sixteenth again just yesterday.Based on TrackLab's analysis

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
At this early stage of a racing career, there's nothing unusual about Desert Sands' record. Two-year-olds are still learning the ropes, and many take months to put together the rhythm and confidence that leads to victories. The fact that the horse was active just yesterday shows it's being campaigned regularly, which gives the yard plenty of opportunities to find the right race and conditions for a breakthrough. Time and experience often work wonders at this age.
