Dee's Funny Girl

Trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien at Ballyroe in County Tipperary, Dee's Funny Girl operates in one of Irish racing's most formidable yards. The stable has already sent out 31 winners this season, which gives a sense of the calibre of horsemanship and the quality of animals moving through the yard. O'Brien clearly sees something in this filly — young horses do not stay in a yard of that standard unless they possess something worth working with. Her recent form reads 3-2-6-1 (most recent first), which shows she has been competitive enough to place twice alongside the win, but the sixth place run suggests she may be finding life tougher at her current level or that the racing programme has not quite fallen right for her.

At two years old, Dee's Funny Girl still has time on her side to develop.
