Datzdjazz

Denis Gerard Hogan's yard at Cloughjordan in County Tipperary is among the busier operations in Irish racing, with 54 winners sent out this season alone. That kind of volume suggests Hogan is not the type to park a horse indefinitely — he runs them often and moves them around the card to find the right spot. For Datzdjazz, that search is ongoing. The last four races tell a fairly consistent story: finishes of eighth, thirteenth, ninth, and most recently eighth again. Nothing dramatic, nothing to suggest the horse is heading in the wrong direction, but nothing to build hope on either. This is a horse that has not quite worked out yet, but at only four years old and with a trainer who keeps active runners racing, there is still time for that to change.
