Darjeel

Darjeel is a 2-year-old in early days at Richard Hannon's yard in Wiltshire, one of the most successful training operations in Britain — Hannon has sent out 118 winners already this season. The horse has had one race so far, finishing fifth, which is exactly what you'd expect from a young horse stepping onto a racecourse for the first time. There is nothing unusual about that result, and nothing yet to suggest where Darjeel might end up in the pecking order. The real story, if there is one, will be told over the next few months as the horse gets more racing under its belt and Hannon figures out what it is capable of.
