Yet his owners, Tim and his wife, remain committed to keeping the horse in training, and Kirby shares their optimism. "He's bubbling under," the trainer explained. "He was rated up in the 90s at one point, but it hasn't been completely plain sailing." A series of minor injuries and bouts of bad luck—notably when he was interfered with two runs back at Sandown—have stalled what looked briefly like an upward trajectory.
