Daboya

Trained by R Donohoe, Daboya broke through for a first career win at Dundalk on 1 November 2024, and has since added five more victories. The most recent came at Bellewstown on 26 August 2026, just five weeks ago, which shows the horse is still actively racing and competing well. Over the past six races, Daboya has found the winner's circle twice, which is a respectable win rate for a horse in current form. The horse was in action just a day ago, placing second, a result that suggests it remains sharp and competitive.

What stands out is how clearly Daboya thrives when given room to run at longer distances. Away from that sweet spot, results are less consistent — which is entirely normal and simply tells us where this horse's real engine sits. For a horse approaching its mid-career at five years old, having identified a distance at which it genuinely excels is valuable knowledge. Daboya is the type that likely makes its the yard happy on the right days and at the right tracks, which in racing is often enough.
