Win rate and top-3 rate will show once this horse has raced.
The trainer is A P O'Brien, who works from Cashel in County Tipperary and has already sent out 125 winners this season. That is a powerful yard firing on all cylinders. O'Brien's reputation for preparing young horses properly and getting them to the track ready to run is well established, so the fact that Crystal Spray is ready to make their debut now suggests the horse is genuinely fit and prepared. The early form of the yard this season has been excellent, which is always worth noting when a newcomer arrives in the parade ring. None of this guarantees anything — a debut is a debut — but it means the horse is coming to the track from a trainer in form, from a stable that knows what it is doing with young runners. That counts for something.
