His one win came at The Curragh on 23 May 2026, which is about as good a venue as you can pick to announce yourself in Irish racing. The Curragh is the home of the Irish Classics — the biggest flat races in the country — so winning there as a young horse carries genuine weight. Since then he has run twice more, finishing third on both occasions, which means he has never once come home without a prize. One win from three races is a 33% win rate — roughly one in every three — which is a strong return at this early stage of a career.
Behind him is Joseph Patrick O'Brien, operating out of Owning Hill in County Kilkenny. O'Brien is one of the most respected trainers in Ireland, and the numbers back that up: 160 winners sent out already this season. That is a yard firing on all cylinders, and having a horse like Count Bezukhov active and racing — he ran just one day ago — suggests the team see plenty more to come from him. Watch this space.
