Trained by John J Cullen, Cornmarket has raced consistently through the spring and summer, staying active with recent runs in the last few weeks. He won most recently at Clonmel this week, his fourth career victory coming on 16 September 2026. Before that he had shown form without winning: third and second place finishes over his last six races suggest he is competitive even when the luck does not fall his way.

The one thing Cornmarket reliably prefers is normal ground. On fast, dry conditions or soft, muddy tracks, he becomes less certain, but on standard ground he has won two from ten races — exactly double his overall win rate. He is the sort of horse that rewards patience and the right ground, the kind that trainers and owners learn to read over time. At seven years old, he is seasoned enough to know his trade and young enough to keep racing.
