Confidence Within

P J Rothwell's yard at Tinahely, in County Wicklow, has been in strong form this season with 35 winners already — a sign of a stable firing on all cylinders. Confidence Within fits into a yard that knows how to place its horses well and train them to peak at the right moments. The horse's only win came at Kilbeggan, a track that clearly suits it. For a horse with just two races under its belt, establishing a course where it performs well is valuable information for future planning. At five years old, Confidence Within is still finding its way, but the early results suggest it belongs in competitive races. With another run just days ago, the horse is clearly being given regular opportunities to prove itself, and the combination of a recent win and a trainer in good form means there could be more success ahead.
