According to jockey Mike O'Connor, who rode him to his recent Cork win, Coming Up Easy "jumped impeccably" and "travelled away lovely," with the rider noting there may be more to come. The horse prefers yielding ground to deep winter mud, which is a sensible consideration for a yard planning a winter campaign. At eight years old and with his record, he has neither the arrogance of a high-class performer nor the desperation of a struggling campaigner — he is a solid, working chaser in a good yard, pointed at a race big enough to matter.
