Clatford

Clatford is a three-year-old still hunting for a breakthrough after four races without a win. The horse has finished in the top 3 once — a second-place finish in its most recent outing, just a day ago — but has otherwise struggled to make an impact, with a couple of double-digit finishing positions earlier in its career. With Scott Dixon's yard at Rolleston, Notts, showing real form this season (33 winners so far), there is clearly work being done to get Clatford to the level needed to break through. That second place last time out at least suggests the horse is moving in the right direction and is close to getting off the mark.
