Certosa

Certosa is a five-year-old that remains winless after ten outings, though it did manage a place finish along the way. The horse has not broken through in its last six races, and recent form reads 10-5-2-–-5-10, showing a second-place finish three races back as its best result in that stretch. Currently trained by W J O'Doherty at Ballingarry in County Limerick, Certosa continues to race actively — it was out just a day ago. The yard itself is relatively modest, having sent out just two winners across the season. For a horse at this stage of its career, the absence of a win after ten attempts suggests it is running at a level where it is consistently outpaced. The single placing is something to work with, but the recent pattern of unplaced finishes indicates Certosa may be struggling to find the form needed to get across the line.
