That win came at Bellewstown on 2nd July 2026 — just this week — making Celtic Moon very much a horse in the middle of its story rather than one looking back on past glories. Bellewstown is a unique, tight track perched on a hill in County Meath, and handling it well first time around tells you something about a horse's natural racing instinct. The fact that Celtic Moon's only other result was a fourth place suggests this is a horse still learning the ropes, but learning them quickly.

Behind the horse is J P Murtagh, operating out of Coolaghknock Glebe in County Kildare. Murtagh's yard has been in tremendous form this season, sending out 53 winners — a number that reflects a genuinely busy and successful operation. When a yard is firing at that rate, you can trust that the horses coming through the door are being placed and prepared well. Celtic Moon is one of the newer additions to that story, and with only two races in the book, there is plenty more to come.
