Celtic Comet is a two-year-old with just one race under its belt, finishing fifth on debut a day ago. That single outing came against established rivals, and the horse has plenty to prove as it steps out again.
Robson De Aguiar, the trainer based at Mullingar, has already sent out 16 winners this season and will be hoping Celtic Comet develops into a useful addition to the yard. For now, the horse remains very much a work in progress — debut runs often tell you more about potential than immediate ability, and one race is far too early to draw firm conclusions about what this two-year-old might become.
