At six years old, she is not a young horse still finding her feet, which means there is a reasonable question hanging over her: when does potential become performance? That said, some horses simply take time to put it all together, and two placed finishes from three races is not nothing — plenty of horses have far worse records at this stage.
She is trained by Max Comley out of Warminster in Wiltshire, and the yard is clearly in decent form right now, having sent out 18 winners already this season. That matters more than it might sound. Horses trained in a yard that is winning regularly tend to be fit, well-managed, and pointed at the right races — so if Catwalk Girl is going to break her duck, she is probably in as good hands as any to make it happen. She raced as recently as today, so she is firmly in active campaign, and with a trainer firing on all cylinders behind her, the circumstances are about as good as she could hope for.
