Candy Is Dandy

Candy Is Dandy is a 2-year-old who made her debut just a day ago, finishing seventh. He is trained by Lemos De Souza at Newmarket, a yard that has already saddled 19 winners this season, so the team clearly knows how to prepare young horses for their first time on the track. Early starts like this can be telling, but they rarely define a horse's future — plenty of top performers have stumbled on debut before going on to better things.
