Winning there is no fluke — it requires a horse that is fit, focused, and adaptable. Recent form reads 13-5-1, meaning Camino Vino has gone from an early stumble to a placed run to that winning performance, which is exactly the kind of upward curve you want to see from a young horse still finding its feet.

The trainer behind all of this is Gavin Cromwell, based at Navan in County Meath. Cromwell's yard has sent out 97 winners already this season, which is a serious operation by any measure — that volume of winners means horses in his care are well-prepared and placed thoughtfully. For a 3-year-old with only three races on the clock, being part of a yard firing at that level is a real advantage. There is experienced handling behind this horse, and that tends to matter when the races start getting harder.
