Cameclose

At three years old, there is at least time on its side. Many horses of this age are still learning the job — finding their rhythm, discovering what trips and conditions suit them — and it would be premature to write Cameclose off entirely. But the improvement needs to come soon and it needs to be meaningful.

The horse is trained by Jack W Davison out of Dunboyne in County Meath, a yard that has already sent out eight winners this season, which shows there is plenty of ability in the stable. Having raced as recently as yesterday, Cameclose is clearly being kept busy, and Davison appears keen to find a race that will unlock something from this horse. Whether that breakthrough comes is the question worth watching.
