C'Est Lui

What is worth noting is that C'Est Lui raced just yesterday and is clearly an active part of Dylan Cunha's plans at the moment. Cunha trains out of Newmarket, one of the most competitive yards in Britain, and has sent out 45 winners this season — a genuinely strong return that tells you the stable knows how to get horses ready to perform. C'Est Lui has not yet shown it belongs at the level the yard clearly operates at, but being kept busy suggests the team still believes there is something to work with.

At two years old, horses are essentially teenagers finding their feet, and plenty have needed half a dozen races before the penny drops. Three runs is a small sample. The next few outings will tell us whether C'Est Lui is slowly finding its way or simply needs more time off the track to develop.
