Button It

The horse is trained by David Evans, who operates out of Monmouthshire in South Wales, and the yard is clearly in good shape right now — 37 winners sent out this season is a solid return that suggests Evans knows how to get a horse ready to run well. That makes Button It something of an outlier in the string at the moment, a horse still searching for its moment while the yard around it fires on all cylinders. Button It raced just yesterday, so it is very much in active campaign, and the team has shown no signs of giving up on finding a race it can win.

At three, horses are still learning their trade, and some take longer than others to put it all together. Three races is a small sample. The hope from Evans's perspective will be that the right opportunity — the right race, the right conditions — eventually clicks into place.
