Brummell

The partnership between Brummell and his regular rider Ryan Sexton has been the making of him. Together they have won 4 of 13 races, a 31% win rate that stands well above the horse's overall average—a sign that the jockey brings out something extra. After his debut at Thirsk in late 2023, where trainer Julie Camacho noted he showed good speed before tiring, Brummell learned his trade gradually and collected his first win at Southwell the following month. His last victory came at Hamilton Park on 22 August 2025, and since then form has been patchy: his most recent six races have yielded a second place and two thirds, but also a fourth, a sixth, and a seventh. That dip is worth noting, though at five years old he is far from finished. Based at Camacho's Norton yard in North Yorkshire, which has sent out 46 winners this season, Brummell remains an active runner—he was out just a day ago—and could yet find his way back to the winner's circle at one of his favoured tracks.
