Brionywells

The most recent form tells a familiar story. In its last six races, it has finished fourth, third, fourth, first, first, and eighth—which means two victories sandwiched between some ordinary efforts and a disappointing run just yesterday. That eighth-place finish, so soon after the last race, suggests the yard may be testing whether it can get Brionywells to level up, or perhaps the horse is simply tiring. Trained by David Killahena and Graeme McPherson at Stow-on-the-Wold in Gloucestershire, Brionywells runs for a yard that has sent out 18 winners this season, so it is not operating in a vacuum. The question now is whether it has peaked at this level or whether there is another win or two to be squeezed out before the season winds down.
