The highlight so far came at Salisbury on 14 August 2025, when she won a top-tier Class 2 race over seven furlongs. To put that in context, Class 2 races sit near the very top of British racing, so winning one as a relatively lightly-raced 3-year-old is a significant achievement. Trainer Jonathan Portman had deliberately targeted a galloping track early in her career — her first two races were at Newbury — because she has a long, sweeping stride that suits that style of course. The patience paid off, and when the yard took her to Salisbury for a third time, she delivered.
Her overall record reads one win and four places from six races, a win rate of roughly 1 in every 6 outings, but zoom in on her best distance — seven furlongs to a mile — and she has won 1 of 4 races at those trips, or 1 in every 4. Her recent form (2nd, 3rd, 4th, 1st, 3rd, 6th reading back from her last race) shows a horse who is rarely far away, even on her off days. She raced just yesterday, so she is clearly in an active campaign.
Portman, who trains out of Upper Lambourn in Berkshire and has already sent out 46 winners this season, is eyeing a seven-furlong race at Newmarket next — a valuable target that would test her against a stronger field. He is also candid that she is still filling out physically, and believes she will be an even better horse next year once she has strengthened up. That is an encouraging thing to hear about a horse who has already earned this much at a bargain entry price.
