The fact that Born Like Me hasn't broken through yet is more about the horse finding its moment than any lack of knowhow from the team.

What is worth noting is that Born Like Me raced just one day ago, which means this is a horse in active work, being campaigned regularly. The yard clearly believes there's a win in there somewhere — you don't keep running a horse through eight races if you've given up on it. Sometimes it takes a horse time to mature, to find the right conditions, to have everything fall right on the day. Born Like Me hasn't had that day yet. But with a busy, winning yard behind it and a consistent recent profile suggesting it belongs at this level, the first win, when it comes, will feel well earned.
