Boom Boom

Boom Boom is essentially a Stratford-on-Avon horse. Of his three career wins, two have come at that Warwickshire track, from ten attempts there. Winning 2 from 10 at the same venue might not sound earth-shattering, but in racing terms it tells you something real: this horse has found a circuit he genuinely likes, and keeps coming back to deliver on it. His most recent win came at Stratford in July 2025, and he has raced just yesterday, so he is very much a live and active runner.

That recent win is part of a small but meaningful upturn in form. Boom Boom has won 2 of his last 6 races — a win rate of around 1 in 3 over that spell, which is well above his career average. His last six results show two wins followed by a quiet patch, the kind of pattern that suggests a horse who peaks in bursts rather than grinding out results week after week.

He competes mostly at Class 5, which is the entry level of British racing — the bread-and-butter tier where most horses spend the bulk of their careers. Trainer Rob Summers, whose yard has sent out two winners this season, has spoken about experimenting with headgear to help Boom Boom find an extra gear — suggesting there is a belief in the team that the horse has a little more to give than he always shows. For a horse who keeps returning to his favourite track and keeps finding the winner's enclosure there, that faith does not seem misplaced.
