This suggests that Blue To Blue performs best when conditions and opposition align: shorter distances and lesser-known competitors bring out its best. Ruth Jefferson's Norton yard, which has sent out eight winners this season, will be hoping that a return to those comfortable ground conditions—both literally and in terms of race standard—can spark another win.
